Neon Lights
To show the beauty of light is to show the water to a fish, it is always there but never noticed.
To what does the photographer lend his eye when prompted by the mark of inspiration
What dazzles the eye upon a summers day as to leave spots in your vision
It is the gift of a sun and bottled electric current, it is the flare of glorious illumination
Gasses coalesce in milky tubes, lit by shock to shock the sight
Like stars they shine brilliant halos to entertain or sell their souls
These are our glowing beacons, our masterpieces of light
Lost and eerie to us during the caustic day
Shine forth with brilliance in the night.
